- Identify, evaluate and use resources effectively for the purpose of problem solving -> Anne Frank I used an Anne Frank CD to get pictures for the final project.
- Build meaning and understanding using prior knowledge and new information -> All year because I keep learning more about the comparison of sivalized and savage.
- Apply problem-solving skills to facilitate learning -> Poetry unit because I asked lots of questions.
- Gather, analyze and process information from a variety of sources -> Anne Frank for the project because we had to get pictures and quotes from the internet etc.
- Solve problems using a variety of strategies -> All year because if I dint understand something I either went to Mr. R’s blog or asked him the next day.

- Demonstrate progress in all curricular areas -> Poetry unit because I improved on writing.

- Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively -> Anne Frank because we had to do a group project where every one had to contribute on their own.
- Access information from a variety of sources -> Anne Frank for the project because we had to get pictures and quotes from the internet etc.
- Demonstrate technological literacy and the use of technology as a tool for the efficient and creative completion of a project -> Anne Frank because we made our movie on the computer and Teen Life because we used our wikispace.

- Demonstrate responsibility in active decision-making -> Anne Frank because we had to decide if we were going to make the movie on PowerPoint of Microsoft Movie Maker.
- Interact respectfully with people of diverse cultures -> All year because we have all different cultures in the class room and you have to be able to work with anyone.
- Demonstrate awareness and respect for the rights of others -> All year because I do not like it when people are down and I notice these things.

- Demonstrate their creative talents to convey ideas -> Poetry unit because we had to make our books creative and with the Tee Life project because we had to be creative with picture making.
- Incorporate/Utilize technology as a tool for communication -> Teen Life because the computer and internet was the only communication we had with the other students.
- Listen respectfully and ask questions to facilitate understanding and achieve insight -> Poetry unit because I asked questions while doing the Hai Ku’s.
- Demonstrate the skills of effective collaboration -> Anne Frank because as a group we had to make a project we were all happy with.
- Collaborate with others in appropriate learning situations to achieve group goals -> Anne Frank because our group goal was to make an amazing animation.
- Understand and convey written, oral and visual information using appropriate media -> Anne Frank because we had to make and appropriate animation to convey information.

- Accept responsibility for their own learning -> Teen Life when I worked on my poems without getting told.

- Take creative risks in developing untried ideas -> Poetry unit because I made an original poetry book cover.
- Demonstrate competency in goal setting, time management, and organizational skills -> Lord of the Flies and Anne Frank because I had to manage my time to get all the reading done.
- Monitor, adjust and document work in progress -> Lord of the Flies because when I took notes in class the next class I would take out the same piece of paper.
